A film that focuses on a breadwinner and her family, serving as a tribute to the unsung heroes who carry the weight of their loved ones' dreams on their shoulders. It’s hard to explain how I felt while watching the film, however, bravo to the cast and crew of the film and I want to thank those who wrote this masterpiece. For me, it’s an eye-opener for Filipinos that working abroad, far from your family, is not an easy thing to do, especially if your entire family depends on you. As an OFW, I can personally say that some of the scenes Vice has in Taiwan ring true. Although I don’t experience it myself, some of my colleagues would work day and night just to provide for their family, and it breaks my heart every time. I hope that someday Filipinos will realize that OFWs are not your ATMs. Their money is not unlimited, their future is not promised either. Visas can expire and expire at any time, and if that happens, who will be their guardian for them?
